This IGT Toscana Red Super Tuscan is dark red. It has a big structure with vanilla, coffee and mint notes.
The grape varieties used for this wine are 60% Cabernet, 30% Merlot, and 10% Petit Verdot. The grapes, once they reach the cellar, are gently pressed then fermented separately at a max temperature of 28°C in steel containers. The obtained wines are racked directly in oak barriques (70% new wood, 30% second vintage), the different varieties kept separated. It’s in the barriques that the wine goes through malolactic fermentation, and it is always here where the wine is matured for 18 months. After this long maturation period in the wooden barriques, the wines are carefully analyzed and blended, then bottled and refined for three more months.
