Thanks to the lava properties, the fields are incredibly rich, full of beneficial minerals and elements for plant life and vineyards.  There are grape varieties that have been living for over a century and we benefit from their fruits.  Altero was born in a small vineyard planted before the Phylloxera pest and remained substantially intact. 

TASTING NOTES

Intense ruby color.  Taste of little red fruits, cherry, leather with a balsamic note.  Elegant, balanced, fresh and long lasting. 

PAIRINGS

Best served with meats, mature cheeses, foods with intense tastes.
